Guess what I’ve been up to today??
Yep!! I was at the shooting range spending some quality time with a few pistols, assault rifles and a shotgun!  😀 😀 😀
Ammunition: 90
The guns:
– Ruger MK III
– Glock 17
– Heckler & Koch USP
– Colt 1911A1
– Desert Eagle
– Walther PPK
– Skorpion EVO3
– Heckler & Koch USC
– Colt M4A1
– AK-47
– Remington 870
Some of them were definitely more fun than the others. Like the Walther PPK is just awesome and the AK-47 makes you feel so badass.
So pistol wise, my preferred guns were the Walther PPK (the James Bond gun, also used by the German military and police during WWII) and the big-ass Desert Eagle.
This picture is actually to scale so go figure…
As for the assault rifles, obviously the AK-47 (the most popular rifle in the world) makes the list though I did a way better job handling the M4A1. The red dot sight attachment they mounted on it was probably the reason why!
And the Remington 870 was the only shotgun I fired. SO JASON STATHAM!!!
Click Click BOOM!!! It was a good day…
Next up, let’s talk food. I had my first cheat meal in a very long time today.
Meal 1: Skipped it
Snack: Skipped it
Meal 2: A beef patty burger with fries and a light coke (at 18 00)
Gym
20 minutes steady rate cardio.
Damn! Just two more days to my trip to Rome! Is this awesome or what? See, I was doing a pretty good job of capping the excitement until today but earlier I printed out my hotel reservation and boarding pass and since then, I haven’t been able to stop giggling and/or jumping around the house.
Meals of the day
Meal 1: Skipped it
Snack: 2 of the Mauritian goodies** (at 19 00)
Meal 2: Roasted venison and 2 bread rolls (at 21 00)
**So I opened two things from the bag of goodies Vimal got me. The reason why I opened two things (instead of one) was so we could share. As it is, the pack of crisp and oriental mix were both small ( 20g and 40g respectively).
Gym
30 minutes steady rate cardio at speeds 8.5, 9.0 and 9.5 (3 x 10 minutes).
Day 1: Back, chest abs
Day 2: Shoulders, biceps, triceps
I missed Day 1 yesterday so I covered both set of exercises today. Not ideal but it’s definitely better than skipping the workout altogether.
LOOK WHO’S HERE  😀 😀 😀
(Explanation for the oily faces: The picture was taken right after we got back from the gym! 😉 😉 See the clothes? 😛)
And I got gifts!!
Mauritian goodies!! This is so awesome. And tricky! 😛 😛 😛 I now get to actually test my resolve. I’ll let you know how it goes. But I’m pretty sure I’ll handle it well. One snack every now and then, no cheating!
I also got food. Vimal’s mum sent some things I would never EVER prepare myself. For one, I don’t even know how. And secondly, I doubt you can get the ingredients to make these things here. LOL… It was a nice surprise. We had the food for dinner. Roasted venison and octopus cooked with mustard and other spices.
Meals of the day
Meal 1: Skipped it
Snack: 2 Danone Actimel (at 18 30)
Meal 2: The aforementioned Mauritian food and 2 bread rolls (at 21 30)
Gym
Steady rate cardio at speed 8.5 for 10 minutes followed by HIIT for 20 minutes at speeds 5.7 and 11.8.
I had Subway today! I forgot how nice a Chicken Teriyaki sub could be 😉 😉 It’s been too long. I also realised, if I just bypass the Chipotle Southwest sauce in my sub, the calorie content of my meal drops from 530 to 430 calories ± 10%. I think I’m going to do that from now on unless I’m having Subway as a cheat meal; I’m going to omit the sauce. The sub is still great without it.
Meals of the day
Meal 1: Skipped it
Snack: 2 mangoes, 10 grapes (at 18 00)
Meal 2: A 6-inch Chicken Teriyaki sub (at 21 00)
Gym
10 minutes steady rate cardio at speed 8.5 followed by HIIT for 25 minutes at speeds 5.7 (walking speed) and 11.5 (sprinting speed).
